In Year 4, we encourage the children to work with greater independence and to refine the skills necessary for collaborative learning. It is important for the children at this stage to be able to express their ideas and opinions about a range of topics, which is why we encourage them to give feedback to their peers and evaluate their own learning constructively.
Producing longer and more sustained pieces of work, the children begin to make decisions for themselves about the content, layout and presentation of their work. It’s all about ownership!
Our Year 4 children enjoy taking part in borough-wide projects where they represent the school.
We are excited to currently be taking part in the Seven Seeds festival, a musical showcase based on the myth of Persephone. It is a spectacular performance that is held at the Royal Albert Hall where thousands of pupils across the borough sing alongside a professional orchestra and vocal soloists.
An impressive achievement we think!
